What is Change Purse?

Change Purse is a 501 (c)(3) organization that collects donated purses and sells them via online sales, home parties, and large and small group events. Proceeds from these events are given to faith-based organizations that work directly with potential and rescued victims, as well as survivors, of sex trafficking.

Change Purse bases all financial decisions on Hebrews 11:1, which says "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see." We seek God for His guidance, direction and provision for all financial decisions made on Change Purse's behalf.

Why does Change Purse only support faith based organizations?

We ultimately believe that true restoration and healing comes only through a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Who runs Change Purse? How did it get started?

Angela, Heather and Krista have been best friends since they met in 6th grade… back in 1989! Together, they are starting this adventure of a life time – following God’s lead and hoping to make a lasting impact in the lives of many.

Angela’s Story
I am the the proud wife of Dave (shameless plug… www.DaveMoran.net) and mother of two boys Connor and Johnathan. I am a stay at home mom, but always busy with different things like couponing, bargain shopping, play dates, and leading women through healing prayer found in Jesus.

Like most women, I love to look at, purchase and own purses… lots of them! There is always seems to be a new purse that catches my eye that would be just perfect for the upcoming season, occasion, or fun for everyday. Each new purse is added to a massive collection, most of which are like new but will never be used again. I hesitate to donate these purses to organizations like Good Will or Salvation Army because I might use them again. (We all know I won't, but the "if" is what keeps our closets, attics, and basements cluttered!)

I am also passionately in love with Jesus so, as silly as this may sound; I started praying about how I could use my love of Jesus & purses to make a difference in this world. The idea for Change Purse came to mind… and the rest is history!

Heather’s Story
I am a wife, homeschool mom of four, and daughter of the King. I am in desperate need of His grace EVERY day and so thankful that He provides it! What an awesome privilege it is to serve Him!

With that in mind I enter into this adventure with a deep desire in my heart to help women and children suffering in unimaginable circumstances. I long to see them free and able to choose their path in life.

I am also a lover of purses! My husband just doesn’t “get it” but that’s okay I can’t imagine any husband would get it. He simply cannot understand why I am constantly looking for a new purse or why my old “spring” purse just won’t do for this spring. I don’t have any explanation other than I LOVE PURSES!

Krista’s Story
My story begins with Change Purse after the foundation had been laid by my life long friends, Angela and Heather.

I am a stay at home mother of four, struggling to keep up with laundry, groceries, etc., when God flung the doors wide open for me to join my two best friends on a journey of a lifetime! I’ve had a passion to see hurting and wounded people find healing in our Heavenly Father for all of my adult life! Through a good friend, I was led to a bible study that focused on human trafficking and well, if you are like me, once you hear about the sadness and injustice that is going on, you can’t turn away! Every human being has been created by God for a purpose and being forced into sexual slavery is NOT a part of His plan.

I welcome this new dynamic to my life! With God’s grace and the support of the best husband a woman could ask for, I am partnering with my dear friends to be hands and feet in a fight where only God can release the captives and bring freedom!
